“Before joining Covance, I worked in traditional testing environments including hospitals, physician, and reference laboratories. I joined Covance because I could work a set schedule and could have a specialized position in Special Chemistry and Toxicology. Soon, I discovered that Covance offers so much more.

When you join Covance as a Medical Technologist, your testing is focused on identifying the impact of clinical trial drugs on the overall health of a patient. To accurately assess the success or failure of a particular drug, it must be tested on a large, diverse population. Ultimately, our testing data provides pharmaceutical companies with the key research needed to determine whether a potential drug may have adverse effects on its patients. Covance plays an important part in deciding if a drug should continue in the drug development process.

This makes my work at Covance unique from my other work experiences. Because I do not have direct patient interaction, I am able to direct my full attention to providing efficient, accurate testing rather than spending time interfacing with doctors or completing phlebotomy.”
