Covance Hosts Life Science Students During Spring Break in US

Mar.28, 2012

During Covance's "Careers & Connections" event, Purdue and UW Madison, Wis. students have the opportunity to participate in an alternative spring break option.

Participants see Covance's laboratory space, practice their lab skills with hands-on projects, share lunch with senior leaders, network with scientific staff, and work on a business case challenge.

Last week, Animal Science and Biology students from Purdue University visited our Greenfield, Ind. facility for a three-day agenda that included tours and shadowing in a number of our laboratories, project work with our Process Excellence team related to our toxicology business, several hands-on activities, and networking with scientists and business leaders.

This is what one Purdue participant had to say about her experience with Covance last week: "I have received so much more out of these past three days than I could have asked for, and I wholeheartedly thank you for that. I have come to see Covance as a forward thinking organization whose business is driven by the people and for the people; all motivated by one common goal — to be a positive contributor to society; possessing a culture of diversity, mutual respect, open exchange, and collaborative decision-making."

Are you a Purdue or University of Wisconsin, Madison Life Sciences student? Are you interested in the opportunity to spend time in our Food Safety, Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Toxicology laboratories?
