Covance Microbiology Laboratory Receives ISO Accreditation

PRINCETON, N.J. - Covance Inc.(NYSE: CVD), a market leader in nutritional testing and food safety, announced today that the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) awarded full 17025 accreditation to its new microbiology laboratory in Madison, Wis. Covance acquired the laboratory from TRAC Microbiology in September 2011.
Granted by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation, ISO accreditation confirms compliance with AOAC INTERNATIONAL guidelines for laboratories performing microbiological and chemical analyses of food and pharmaceuticals.
